Today there is a national movement in support of immigrants and refugees in our community.  It is called Day Without Immigrants Boycott.  Some people have chosen to make a statement to show what the United States would be like without immigrants.
At lunch today the auditorium will be open for students who have questions about Day Without Immigrants, or would like to show support or discuss this event with other students.
To support our classmates and community, we’d like all students who wish to show support for the Day Without Immigrants Boycott to silently exit your classrooms, and  quietly line the edges of the hallways.  We’ll give you three minutes to line our hallways, link arms or hold hands and have a moment of silent support.  If you do not wish to participate, you will not be judged and you may remain in your classroom.
I will come back on in a few minutes and ask that you respectfully return to your classrooms.  Thank you.

Hello!  The student store committee would like to let you know about our Valentine Gram fundraiser!  You can send a box of candy hearts to anyone you please for one $1 or 10 PAWS.  You can send it anonymously or not.  Come by the student store at lunch to spread some Valentine’s Cheer!  Deliveries will be made on the last day of each week until February 17th

Can you run, jump, throw, or hurdle?  Track season is fast approaching.  Pick up forms from the office or Mr. Rose, or download from the LP website.

Showbie should be working again for all students. If your Showbie does not work try doing a Hard Shut-Down on your iPad and restart it. A hard shutdown is when you hold both the Home Button in and the On/Off button in at the same time, when the Apple shows up on the screen stop holding the buttons! If that doesn’t work bring it to Mrs. Peters in the library.

Do you go black Friday shopping?  If you do, it is a perfect opportunity to buy new toys to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.  A new toy might be something small you take for granted, but to a healing child, it can make a world of difference.   Often times it is hard for kids just like you to stay optimistic about the difficult situation they are going through.  A new toy will distract them from their pain and hardship, by giving them something positive to focus on.  Your chance to make a healing child smile is ending November 30th so go out there and get some toys!  Bring the new toys to your science class and place them in the box labeled toy drive.  If your teachers class brings the most toys you will win the prize of cupcakes!
