Thanks to our successful Make Your Mark campaign and art teacher Claudia Hall, we have 6th grade students at LPMS completing a fantastic art project connecting the learning of Salmon with key art skills such as learning about form. The students are painting Salmon on canvas in the style of Northwest Native Americans!
We have a countdown for Mock congress! We have a guest educator from Gondar, Ethiopia, a woman named Meleshew Tizazo coming to LPMS on the 28th of April. She will join Mr. Beasley in observing his committee hearings at Mock Congress in the morning and is hoping to visit some classrooms in the afternoon. We feel honored and privileged to have her.
This is a picture of our amazing level 3 orchestra that played last Thursday at the First United Methodist Church (Big thanks to the FUM for sharing your amazing space). The level 4 orchestra played an amazing set and kudos to both Kathy Smith and student teacher Sarah Perkins for their talented leadership of strings. How Kathy can have all the students playing a note and then grab one student’s instrument to tune it is amazing.
A big thank you to the 45 plus volunteers and the 7th Grade Team for putting on another successful Greek Olympics!
Nota importante: Hemos tenido un aumento en el número de estudiantes que establecen contacto directo con sus padres a través de sus celulares con el fin de salir de la escuela por diversas razones. No
