Update!

Post date: Mar 25, 2012 7:53:47 PM

The wonderful guest speaker for the Corry Area Historical Society gathering last Saturday was Mr. Fred Maier who discussed the Miller Aeroplane. William and Martin Miller, along with Otto Timm built and flew the biplane in 1911. The wooden propeller from Miller's aeroplane is displayed at the Smithsonian Institution. Mr. Maier shared his expertise with us after a short business meeting.  Mr. Maier has temporarily left a scaled model at the museum for visitors to view.  Be sure to stop by! Although we are still officially closed for the winter season, volunteers are usually at the museum Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  and also on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We wish to thank all who have given of their time, talent and care for the mission of the Corry Area Historical Society, Inc. and its museum.  At this time, we especially wish to thank Alisa Puckly and her family for their wonderful dedication and service to the mission of the Historical Society and the community at large.
