Synchronizing with Mac Mail

  • Open mail on your Mac
  • Type in your name, Cornell e-mail address and password

  • Click continue, and on the pop-up click connect

  • Click on the drop down for Account Type and select IMAP
  • Type in "IMAP.gmail.com" (without the quotes) in the Incoming Mail Server field
  • Type your Cornell e-mail address into the User Name spot, and your e-mail password into the password field
  • Click continue
  • Select smtp.gmail.com as your Outgoing Mail Server
  • Check the boxes next to "Use only this server" and "Use Authentication"
  • Enter your e-mail address and password into the User Name and Password fields respectively

  • Click finish
