If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research.

I am a Research Associate/Instructor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. I am very much interested in theoretical analysis of fluid mechanics problems and experimental verifications. Very often I get unexpected results from the experiments and that is when the research becomes more exciting and perhaps more useful. Some of the results have been published in four papers in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics.

Recently I have been awarded a Newton International Fellowship. The fellowship will support my research on "dynamic response of stratified, non-Newtonian, cohesive sediments to ocean surface waves", which will be carried out in the University of Dundee in Scotland for the next two years (2011-2013).
