Welcome to my homepage!

I am an associate professor in the Faculty of Economics at Soka University. Previously, I conducted research, advisory services, and technical assistance on the impact assessment of development projects and environmental problems such as climate change in both developing and developed economies while I worked as an economist at the World Bank and as a postgraduate fellow at the Yale School of the Environment. Throughout my career, I have published academic and scientific journal articles, books and book chapters, and technical reports. I was educated as an economist at Soka University (B.A.), Yale (M.A.) and Cornell (Ph.D.).

My primary fields are environmental economics, development economics and climate change economics. My research interests include climate change impacts and adaptation, natural capital accounting, sustainability, and the nexus of poverty and environment.
