I am an Assistant Professor of Development Economics in the Department of Economics at the University of New Mexico.  My primary research interests are in issues of food, nutrition, health, and human development in the context of poverty and economic development.  Currently my research focuses on early childhood development and the mechanisms linking early childhood well-being to later life outcomes.
