20th Cliona Callanan Memorial Event Report
The 20th Annual Clíona Callanan Memorial Orienteering Event was held on Sunday September 14th in the beautiful surroundings of Doneraile Park. The early morning rain failed to dampen the spirits and enthusiasm of all those who attended on the day.
Despite the wet start to the day the sun did come out and shone brightly on the 70+ entrants. Well done to all who participated on the day. Checkout the link below for the event results:

This year along with the usual benefactor the Cork Children's Leukaemia Association the event also fundraised for the Gaza Go Bragh. This Irish humanitarian organisation is dedicated to providing aid and helping the people of Gaza through their suffering. The event received €1564 in cash donations which is incredible and a huge thanks to all who donated. This figure will be added to the ongoing iDonate fund which currently stands at €4858. If you missed the event and would like to make a donation to the charities the online fundraiser will stay open until September 28th, so feel free to continue sharing and donating at:

The Callanan family would like to thank everyone who has helped and supported them in their fundraising efforts over the past 20 years. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped out on the day and a huge thank you to all for your kind and generous support of this fundraiser.
Special thanks to the Sleeman-Power, O'Leary-Fitzpatrick, Blokker and Lucey families. Also thanks to Cork Orienteering Club, Liam O Brien (maps) and the OPW staff, Doneraile Park.
