First-Year Melissa Mitchell Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition

This competition typically runs the weekend of week 9 every term for students enrolled in the Criminal Procedure class. This competition allows students to argue legal issues at the U.S. Supreme Court level in front of a panel of "Supreme Court Justices." Students are given a fact pattern and necessary case law to develop an argument for the competition. Competitors who advance or receive a top ten advocate award are eligible to apply for early admission in to the Intra-School Moot Court Class. Also after competing in the First-Year, students will be given general membership status on the Moot Court Board.
