How to Get Involved

We can't "Make Cancer Moot" without your help, so please get involved! You can join our team by signing up online here.
Individual Fundraising

Once you have signed up online, you can send an email message to family and friends inviting them to support the American Cancer Society.  Team members that have done this will tell you how fast the donations will start to roll in!  One team member raised over $800 in four days!  Everyone who raises $100 will receive a Relay for Life t-shirt.  (These are separate from the Moot Court Board t-shirts.)  A complete listing of the incentive prizes can be found here.
The Relay

All of our efforts will come to a conclusion on June 5th & 6th with the Relay at Lansing Catholic Central.  It will take all of us working together to reach our goal of walking around the track for 24 hours.  We'll need people to walk, help with on-site fundraisers, and compete in the on-site contests.  Please contact any of the Special Projects  Committee (Heather Kleinhardt, Joscelyn Gorline, and Christopher Higgins) if you can help with any of the specific items listed below.  We will also have a sign-up at the the General Board meetings for time periods to walk & help at the Relay.
  • Cancer survivors to walk in our Survivor Lap (2 pm & 5 pm)
  • Someone to read the names of all luminarias at the Remembrance Ceremony (10 pm)
  • Items for Silent Auction
  • Truck for the jailhouse
  • Lawn Chairs
  • Flash lights
  • Coffee Pots
  • Coolers
  • Lots of energy!
