Since 1997, the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law has been committed to publishing articles and essays that further develop and define practical lawyering skills and values throughout the legal and academic community. The Law Journal publishes articles that specifically aid the legal and academic community in an ongoing effort to find practical solutions to inherent problems in the law.

Yasmine K. Wint graduated cum laude from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. She also graduated cum laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2012, where she served on the editorial board of The Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law and as a senior associate editor of The Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. During law school she clerked for the Hon. William C. Whitbeck, of the Michigan Court of Appeals. After law school, she then went on to work as a law clerk for the Hon. Pamela L. Lightvoet at the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court. After clerking with Hon. Pamela L. Lightvoet, Yasmine went on to work for Borgess Medical Center where she serves as the Manager of Legal Services and Contracts Administrator.
