The purpose of this organization is to promote the involvement of
Cooley students in environmental law issues. To accomplish this mission, ELS
shall conduct educational programs, assist in the development of professional
relationships, and provide public service opportunities. Also ELS shall provide
an opportunity for students to speak their minds use their developing legal
skills to help with environmental law issues; and to establish an organization
that helps local communities through environmentally based volunteer work.

Founded in 1972, the Thomas M. Cooley Law School is a private, nonprofit, independent law school accredited by the American Bar Association and the Higher Learning Commission. Cooley has provided its graduates with the practical skills necessary for a seamless transition from academia to the real world.
