Laptops / Google Apps
This web site is all about the
Laptops / Google Apps Initiative
beginning now at Constellation Schools.
Starting with the 2015-2016 school year, all Constellation students in 2nd through 12th grade will be issued a school laptop and an account with Google Apps for Education.
This web site is the place to find out what it's all about!
We are "going digital" with three approaches to teaching and learning:
A Little More Detail
The laptop - The new HP Stream 11 Pro for Education. Small and light, yet powerful and professional quality.
Here's HP's product page on the Stream 11 Pro:

Google Apps for Education - A Suite of Free Productivity Tools for Classroom Collaboration
Here's Google's main site about it: https://www.google.com/edu/products/productivity-tools/
Google Classroom - Teachers can create, share, and grade assignments with ease. Google Classroom was designed to help you save time and keep classes organized.
What To Do Next
There's a lot more to learn about all of these topics! This site will be regularly updated with new information and resources. Please check back often to find out what's new.

For Staff: We are planning all kinds of professional development for our teachers, including summer workshops, back-to-school days, in-service days, and embedded ongoing coaching. Each school will be assigned a Technology Integration Coach to provide ongoing training and coaching with teaching and learning using laptops, Google Apps, and technology integration. Each school will also be assigned a Field Technician who will provide computer hardware and network support.
For Students: We want your learning experience to be rich, rewarding, and valuable. Check this site often for videos and tips and tricks to get the most out of your laptop, Google Apps, and technology integration.
For Parents: we will be having meetings and open houses at school to present more information about this new initiative, and there will be a section of this web site devoted to parent resources.
