Michael Salat, History Teacher

I teach the history class for Conserve School. The title of the class is U.S. History: Wilderness, Leadership, and Exploration. The class will be experiential as we look at various wilderness explorations including Lewis & Clark and John Wesley Powell. One goal I have for this class is for students to understand some of the challenges faced by these explorers. I would like them to investigate which leadership styles worked best for these adventurers and how they can incorporate lessons from these leaders into their own lives.
