Most important services

The survey asked faculty to rate the importance of various services to them. The following were the 10 services rated either "Important" or "Very Important" by the highest percentage of faculty:
  • E-mail services
  • Support when you have a computing problem 
  • Access to online resources from off-campus 
  • Network speed
  • Library databases 
  • Overall computing service
  • Library Circulation services
  • Interlibrary loan
  • Overall library service
  • Support for technology in meeting spaces/classrooms  

Highest satisfaction

The survey also asked faculty to rate their satisfaction with various services. The following 10 services received the highest number of "Satisfied" or "Somewhat Satisfied" ratings:
  • Overall library service 
  • Library Circulation services
  • Virus protection
  • Interlibrary loan
  • Access to online resources from off-campus
  • Library databases (e.g. LexisNexis, JSTOR)
  • Shain Library reference services
  • E-mail spam filtering
  • Library liaison/contact
  • Campus telephone services
