TO THE MOVIES (27 Jul 2018) Cartoon Network Excerpt: “A lot of comic book fans maybe look down at our show for not being so serious,” Jelenic said. “But at the same time it’s all these younger fans [of ‘Teen Titans Go!’] who are what’s going to keep comic books going for the next generation.” For now, Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath can celebrate Friday’s 200th episode, in which they star as animated versions of themselves taking a break from writing, forcing the Titans to write the episode themselves or fade from existence. The pair also recently announced a “Teen Titans Go!” movie arriving in theaters in 2018.

In Detective Comics #968, Tim will finally escape his current imprisonment at the hands of the mysterious Mr. Oz (whose identity will be revealed soon in the pages of Action Comics). However, as DC’s solicits tease, getting home is not quite the same thing as surviving the experience.

The arc’s title, “A Lonely Place of Living,” is a play on Drake’s DC Comics introduction in 1990’s “A Lonely Place of Dying.” The storyline, written by Marvel Wolfman and drawn by George Perez and Jim Aparo, was a crossover event between Batman and Teen Titans, and served to bring a new Robin (Drake) into Batman’s life following the murder of Jason Todd years earlier. The story was designed to illustrate how important Robin was to helping Batman regain his humanity in the face of Todd’s death.

Check out the cover — which homages the final chapter of the aforementioned “A Lonely Place of Dying” storyline — and solicitation text for the Tim Drake’s return, below.

Exclusive DC First Look: September's Action Comics and Detective Comics Titles
    by Russ Burlingame | June 13, 2017

DC has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive first look at the solicitation text for Action Comics #987 and #988,and Detective Comics #965, and the standard covers for Action Comics #987 and Detective Comics #965.

The cover for Detective Comics is particularly interesting, as the image is an homage to George Perez's cover to Batman #441, the middle chapter to "A Lonely Place of Dying," the story arc in which Drake was introduced as the third Robin.

The upcoming Detective story is titled "A Lonely Place of Living," and sees Drake trying to decide between escaping Mr. Oz's prison or staying behind -- a decision made harder by a surprising revelation that fans will have to wait to fully grasp the gravity of.

“A Lonely Place Of Living” part one! It’s the story you’ve demanded: Where in the world (or otherwise) is Tim Drake? Red Robin faces a crossroads…escape the most devious prison ever devised, or find himself abandoned beyond time and space for all eternity! Not much of a choice, right? But when he finds out just who is locked in there with him, Tim’s world will change in ways he never imagined! This is one of the biggest stories of the REBIRTH era, setting the stage for an explosive DETECTIVE COMICS epic!
