Joy Long, a Columbus County native is the art visual arts instructor at South Columbus High School. Growing up in the Mollie community, Ms. Fowler always had a strong desire to pursue a career in the arts.  Upon graduation from Williams Township High School, she attended Southeastern Community College.  Afterwards, she transferred to UNC-Charlotte where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree and was inducted into the National Honor Society.  She has taught art in Columbus County.  In 2008, she received her National Board Certification in Secondary Art Education.
