Work Keys is November 30, 2017

The WorkKeys Skills Assessment will be given on Thursday, November 30 at 8am.  This tests is a job skills assessment that helps employers select, and hire a high-performance workforce.  This series of tests measure foundational and soft skills and offers  specialized assessments to target workforce needs.

Seniors qualify to take this test if they have taken 4 or more Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses in a given area.  Successful completion of the WorkKeys  assessment can lead to earning ACT's National Career Readiness Certificate.

Students are awarded certificates at four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum to denote their job-ready qualifications.  Platinum is the most valued, but certification at any level will give the student an edge in a highly competitive job market.  More and more employers are requiring job applicants to take the WorkKeys Assessment before they are called in for an interview.  After graduation, the student will have to pay for testing through SCC.   The savings in time and money is reason enough to make taking this assessment a priority for eligible seniors.
