Tips for Eating More Fruits and Vegetables
  • Try "Meatless Mondays" - meatless meals one day a week 
  • Stock your refrigerator, freezer, and pantry with fruits and vegetables 
  • Store cut-up veggies and fruits in clear containers at eye-level in the refrigerator 
  • Keep a bowl of fruit on the kitchen counter or your desk at work so that you can easily grab a piece of fruit when you're hungry
  • Buy packaged and ready-to-eat fresh vegetables and fruits. These will cut down on preparation time
  • Try a delicious snack of fresh fruits or vegetables, such as carrots and hummus; apples and peanut butter; grapes; clementines; or edamame (soy beans) 
  • Add fresh fruit to your cereal or low-fat yogurt
  • Try filling half your plate with vegetables at each meal
