APPLICATION FEE WAIVER
Civil Service Law Section 50.5(b): “…fees shall be waived for candidates who certify to the state civil service department, a municipal commission or regional commission that they are unemployed and primarily responsible for the support of a house hold, or are receiving public assistance.”
PLEASE NOTE THAT CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF BEING UNEMPLOYED/HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD AND/OR THE RECEIPT OF PUBLIC ASSISTANCE, WHEN APPLYING FOR EXAM. SAID WAIVERS WILL NOT BE APPROVED WITHOUT SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION, AT TIME OF APPLICATION.
