CU-Prime is a growing, evolving organization with lots of amazing people working hard to make it happen! Here's a little bit about who we are, in no particular order...
  • Devin Rourke Devin is a graduate student in the Physics Department. He researches nanophotonics in Electrical Engineering at CU Boulder. Devin coaches a cross country team at Centaurus High School! Devin works with the Park Group.

  • Dan Reinholz Dan is a post-doc in the Center for STEM Learning, working on a project aimed at promoting institutional change in STEM departments. As an educational researcher, Dan focuses on the role of reflection in learning. He also plays drums in Ghost of Ivy, an alternative rock band! Dan works with the Physics Education Research Group.

  • Ben Pollard Ben is a graduate student in the Physics Department pursuing a PhD in experimental nano-optics. When not shooting small things with lasers, he pursues interests in physics education, bassoon playing, rock climbing, backpacking, or skiing. Ben was born in Boulder, grew up in State College, PA, and went to Pomona College majoring in physics and computer science. He is a lifelong vegan! Ben works with the Raschke Group.

  • Rob Niederriter Rob is a graduate student in the Physics Department. He researches fiber lasers in Electrical Engineering at CU Boulder, and owns a sailboat! Rob works with the Gopinath Group.

  • Michelle Miller Michelle is a graduate student in the Physics Department. She studies how electrons interact with strong pulses of light. Michelle works with the Becker Group.

  • Simone Hyater-Adams Simone is a graduate student in the ATLAS Institute. She studies how students develop their "Physics Identity." Simone worked on the NASA program for the final Space Shuttle mission! Simone works in the ATLAS Institute.

  • Greg Hoth Greg is a graduate student in the Physics Department. He studies precise atomic clocks at NIST in Boulder. Greg regularly performs in improv groups! Greg works with the Atomic Devices and Instrumentation Group at NIST.

  • Nico Hernandez Charpak Nico is a graduate student in the Physics Department. He studies how laser light interacts with nanoscale objects. Nico is from Colombia! Nico works with the Kapteyn-Murnane Group.

  • Mathis Habich Mathis is an international student from Germany who graduated from the Goethe University, Frankfurt. before joining the Nuclear Theory Group at CU-Boulder. Currently, his research focuses on relativistic hydrodynamics and its application to the quark--gluon plasma, a new state of matter found at the experiments conducted at CERN, Switzerland and RHIC, New York. Besides physics, he is also interested in the philosophy of language and how this influences sciences in general. Mathis works with the Romatschke Group.
