Welcome,

Our focus will be on providing each child with new challenges that will result in a rewarding school experience. Academic emphasis on the core content areas of Reading, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies will remain a priority. Providing instruction in the Fine Arts, Physical Education and the infusion of Technology complete our curriculum providing each student with the opportunity to develop areas of interest and skill.

Our goal is to challenge your children intellectually and guide them toward independent thinking and problem solving.

======

Here is some information that we would like you to keep in mind.

School Start and End Times:
Classes begin at 7:50 a.m. with doors opening at 7:15.
(do not drop your children off earlier then 7:15.) Classes end at 2:30.

Pick up and drop off from school:
It will be necessary for you to pick up and drop off your child either on 14th or 15th Streets. Center Street is closed from 7:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. during this time the street will be used as a bus loop only. This is a safety issue for our students. Thank you in advance for understanding our new procedure.

Breakfast:
Served from 7:15-7:40.

Lunch:
Students lunch time will be determined by their 4th hour teacher assignment. Student lunch time is 20 minutes. If you would like to fill out a free/reduced lunch form, please download, print and return to school.
Leaving Early/Returning to School:

Please call the office (918-371-2542) to blue slip your child out for appointments. It will be necessary for you to sign your child out in the office before he/she may leave the building. When your child returns from a doctor/dentist appointment it is important they turn in a doctor note to the office in order to excuse the absence. Detailed information is in your child’s handbook.
New Student Enrollment:

If you have recently moved to the Collinsville School District and wish to enroll, please visit the Enrollment Center at 1902 W. Maple.
Parent/Teacher Conferences have been set on the following dates:

October 13th and 14th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Please call the office to schedule times with specific teachers. If you would like to meet with a teacher any time during the year simply contact the school and we will arrange a time. We know that a strong line of communication between the school and home will aide in your child having a positive educational experience. Your encouragement, support and concern of your child’s education will help your child know that you value his or her education.

Parent Portal:

In order for parents to better understand the use of the Parent Portal (parent and student access to students grades) We will have a Parent Portal Training in the MS library on October 13th from 6:00-7:00. Please call to register for this training at 918-371-2541. All parents must have their password before attending this training.

Email:  pportal@collinsville.k12.ok.us for your username and password.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. I look forward to working with you and your child throughout the school year to provide a productive and safe learning environment that supports student success.—
Let’s have a great year together!
