Tutoring!

posted Feb 24, 2015, 7:08 PM by Evan Stoudt

A handful of people stayed afterschool for tutoring on Monday.  Those people were Dante, Jayde, Tisean, Cedric, Lavonta, Ernest, Asia, and Tyja.  They earned $10 Sci Bucks each and earned 75 tutoring minutes.

Props to Lavonte for asking for his school runner ID so he can check his grades.

Nice work Tisean, Passyonete and Jayde for major growth in the last week of class - that growth has led to improvement of grades and of overall class participation.  Keep it up.  #snaps

Top Scores on the Exponents & Polynomials Test

posted Feb 22, 2015, 7:30 PM by Evan Stoudt

The last quiz we took before our Mardi Gras break was on Exponents and Polynomials and it was tough.  The kind of stuff that to earn an Excellent on the EOC you must master!  The top scores on that test were earned by...

Ernest
Tazia
Dante
Darian
Tyea
Tyja
Karry
Damon
Passyonete
Darron
Amaria
Ngan
Destiny

If you need help on those skills talk to them, plan to work with them during class, or stay after school for tutoring.  Also think about what they do in class to be successful... such focus and effort!

Aashamad

Aashamad shows tremendous focus in college prep by staying focused on the video lessons and using his time to get a deeper understanding of previous skills in Algebra 1.  #snaps

Kennedy showed curiosity - taking an interest in experience and learning new things - by asking about using digital resources (like this website) to prepare for the upcoming Interim Assessment!  Snaps!
