For Editing Records

Tab Key  move to the next editable position in the record

Fixed fields: next editable fixed field

Variable fields: in order to next. IN each case, the cursor is placed at the beginning of the field position in insert mode.
  1. field group tag
  2. MARC tag
  3. MARC indicators
  4. first sub-field data
  5. next sub-field tag, then data until reach end of field
  6. next variable field
In each case

Shift Tab  move to previous editable position in the record

Enter Key creates a new blank line for inputting new variable-length field


Other


 Ctrl End
 To the last editable position of the record
 Ctrl Home
 To the first editable position of the record
 Home  To the first position of the variable-length field or first fixed length field on the line
 End  To the last position of the variable-length field or the first fixed length field on the line
 Page Up
 Up one page of fields and places the cursor in the relative position of the field
 Page Down
 Down one page of fields and places the cursor in the relative position of the field

 Arrows
 Position the cursor within text

 Delete all highlighted text or the letter preceding the insertion point
