We’re an after school computing club. This is free and open to any secondary school pupil. The aim is to support the learning the kids want to achieve. We'll look for ways that we can help the kids help themselves so that they learn to learn, and offer suggestions for their areas of interest. All staff are CRB vetted too.
We run the club on Wednesdays afternoons from 16:00-18:00. You'll find specific dates listed in the Open Tech Calendar.
We meet at the University of Aberdeen, Computing Science, Meston Building, Room 311, AB24 3UE. Go in at the north end of the building (library on your right as you enter) and up the stairs.
Please spread the word about this to anyone you think might be interested.
If you’d like to express an interest, or find out more, then email the team on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We support the interests of what the children want to learn about programming; whether this be with general learning to program, or developing mobile applications, or robots, or even Arduino or Raspberry Pi programming.
We continue through the summer and lead into the Young Rewired State ‘Festival of Code’ for which we host a centre each August. This is a chance for the young people to show how well they can work as a team and develop something bigger than they could normally do on their own.
