1.         The Philippine Navy Vessel PG-378 will conduct Test Firing of Naval Guns on 09 March 2009 from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at vicinity 10 Nautical Miles (NM) Southwest off La Monjo Island or at the following coordinates:

2.         LS Lucap located at Alaminos, Pangasinan or at Latitude 16 degs 11 mins 42 secs North, Longitude 120 degs 00 mins 12 secs East, RESTORED TO NORMAL OPERATION since 21 February 2009 with light characteristics of FLASHING GREEN EVERY FIVE (5) SECS.

3.         LS Port Bolinao located at Bolinao, Pangasinan or at Latitude 16 degs 22 mins 51 secs North, Longitude 119 degs 54 mins 48 secs East, RESTORED TO NORMAL OPERATION since 21 February 2009 with light characteristics of FLASHING WHITE EVERY FIVE (5) SECS

4.         LS Decabaito located at Linacapan, Palawan or at Latitude 11 degs 37 mins 00 secs North, Longitude 119 degs 58 mins 00 secs East, reported NOT OPERATING since 15 February 2009.

1.         Iloilo City will hold its 37th Iloilo Paraw Regata Competition (Sailboat at Race) on 22 February 2009 from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The said race will cover approximately thirty (30) Kilometers (km) of distance along Iloilo Strait, the starting point is at Tatoy’s Manokan and Seafoods in Sto. Niňo Sur, Arevalo, Iloilo City and enroute to following areas: from Port of San Pedro, Iloilo City, Sto. Rosario, Buenavista, Guimaras and Nagaba Point, Jordan, Guimaras, Bundolan Point, Jordan, Guimaras and back to Tatoy’s Manokan and Seafoods as the finish line.

1.         LS Dialao located at Pagudpod, Ilocas Norte or at Latitude 18 degs 37 mins 48 secs North, Longitude 120 degs 47 mins 19 secs East, RESTORED TO NORMAL OPERATION since 11 February 2009 with light characteristics of FLASHING FOUR (4) WHITE EVERY TWENTY (20) SECS.

2.         LS Aparri located at Barangay Punta, Aparri or at Latitude 18 degs 21 mins 50 secs North, Longitude 121 degs 37 mins 43 secs East had CHANGED LIGHT CHARACTERISTICS FROM FLASHING WHITE EVERY FIVE (5) SECS TO FLASHING THREE (3) WHITE EVERY FIVE (5) SECS.

3.         LS Sumilon located at Sumilon Island, Oslob, Cebu or at Latitude 09 degs 25 mins 52 secs North, Longitude 123 degs 23 mins 22 secs East, reported NOT OPERATING since 27 January 2009.

4.         LS Calolbon located at San Andres, Calolbon, Catanduanes or at Latitude 13 degs 36 mins 00 secs North, Longitude 124 degs 05 mins 42 secs East, reported NOT OPERATING since 18 January 2009.

5.         LS Tubigon Point located Tubigon, Bohol or at Latitude 09 degs 57 mins 36 secs North, Longitude 123 degs 57 mins 36 secs East, reported NOT OPERATING since 28 January 2009.

 

6.         LS Rasa Island located at Rasa Island, Surigao del Norte or at Latitude 09 degs 47 mins 34 secs North, Longitude 125 degs 35 mins 00 secs East, reported NOT OPERATING since 04 February 2009.

 

7.         All ships/watercrafts transiting the above mentioned areas are advised to take necessary precautionary measures.

1.         In connection with the recent unusual phenomenon of dolphins which swam along the shallow waters of Pilar and Orion towns, Bataan. All ships/watercrafts are advised to report all unusual sightings of any sea mammals to the nearest Coast Guard Unit or text or call relevant information to PCG hotline : 0917-PCGDOTC (09177243682)

NOTICE TO MARINERS

NUMBER 015-2009

  08 February 2009

 

Notice is hereby given to all mariners and other parties concerned that:

 

1.         On or about 5:20 AM of February 08, 2009, M/V Chrysler, a cargo vessel of 698.88 GT owned and operated by Matsya Shipping Lines Corp., collided and caused the capsizing of F/B Linda-J, of 33.94 GT carrying nineteen (19) crew/fishermen, at vicinity Tanguigui Island, Visayan Sea. M/V Chrysler was enroute to Mariveles, Bataan from the Port of Cebu when the accident happened. M/V Chrysler was able to rescue thirteen (13) crew/fishermen of F/B Linda-J. However, as of 12:00 NN, February 08, 2009, six (6) crew/fishermen of the ill-fated fishing boat remains to be missing/unaccounted.

 

2.         In this connection, all ships/watercrafts transiting the above mentioned area are advised to be on the look-out and render necessary assistance upon sightings of said missing crew/fishermen and report same to the PCG as soon as possible.

1.         LS Agutaya located at Agutaya, Palawan or at Latitude 11 degs 08 mins 48 secs North, Longitude 120 degs 56 mins 24 secs East, RESTORED TO NORMAL OPERATION since 01 February 2009 with light characteristics of FLASHING WHITE EVERY FIVE (5) SECS.

                                   

2.       LS Langoy located at Araceli, Palawan or at Latitude 10 degs 29 mins 42 secs North, Longitude 119 degs 59 mins 03 secs East, reported NOT OPERATING since 30 January 2009.

 

3.         LS Gingoog located at Gingoog City or at Latitude 08 degs 52 mins 10 secs North, Longitude 125 degs 08 mins 00 secs East, reported NOT OPERATING since 19 January 2009.

 

4.         All ships/watercrafts transiting the above mentioned area are advised to take necessary precautionary measures.

Notice is hereby given to all mariners and other parties concerned that:

 

1.         The JAN DE NUL Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger Taccola has demobilized from Philippine operation as of 12 January 2009 after completion of the dredging and land reclamation project of CBP-1 Islands B and C Phase 4, covered by the MOA of 14 September 1989 with Public Estates Authority and duly endorsed by the Office of the President. The Notice to Mariners number 173-2008 issued on 7 August 2008 is therefore terminated.
