PRAYER

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them,

and they follow Me

John 10:27

A relationship with God necessarily means we are to have an ongoing conversation with Him and that conversation is called: prayer.

Such a conversation can happen anytime, any place under any condition - in a large group gathering, around a dinner table, or by yourself - the lines of communication with God are always open. Together we learn to hear God's voice and we discover that there is nothing too small or too large to bring to God. As partners at COAH, we seek to find ways to learn and practice prayer in a variety of ways and venues. Some of these are listed below:

Monday Morning Prayer
We gather every Monday morning, 8:30am, at Bob & Barb Compher's home - 235 Paseo De Gracia, Redondo Beach - taking time to discuss and pray over request and concerns that have been shared with us. Everyone is welcome to come and join us for this time to bring these petitions before the throne of God's mercy and grace!

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

A place to gather and pray for the persecuted church. Read prayer requests from around the world and post your own prayers specifically for your brothers and sisters who are being persecuted.

REQUESTS
You can contact us with your prayer request and we will be sure to include it in our upcoming Monday morning prayer time and share with our prayer team for their regular prayer as well. Make requests by emailing: jon@coahsb.org

Daily
Prayer
I offer up this example of a daily prayer for your use. It comes from the book "Waking the Dead" by John Eldredge. It is a powerful way to start the day and is a worshipful invocation for God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and a claim for our lives of His work on our behalf through the incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. I've included the audio files as well, so you can listen/read it = pray it over your life and you entire household.
