Message from the Director of Social ServicesWelcome to the Modoc County Department of Social Services (MCDSS) website! We hope you find it useful and easy to use.
I am deeply honored to serve the County as the Director of this agency; I am privileged to work alongside an outstanding Executive Management Team; I am extremely proud of the committed and talented staff members who work tirelessly each and every day to provide services to the residents of Modoc County. MCDSS is one of the largest county departments and serves over 2400 residents a month.
Here at MCDSS we are striving to enhance your experience by providing an environment that is warm and welcoming, and our staff of dedicated professionals is here to help you. MCDSS offers a wide range of services to support families and individuals, and to ensure the well-being of our most vulnerable population. We work with Agency partners to provide holistic and comprehensive services to meet the needs of our residents. MCDSS can only achieve this with our Agency’s dedicated staff, Core County Service Agencies, the Board of Supervisors, the County Administrative Officer and Community Partners who believe in helping our clients and working families.
The MCDSS team developed this site to provide our community with a website that offers our county residents with up to date information. We hope it helps provide easier access to services and resources throughout Modoc County. We welcome your input and suggestions on what you would like to see included on our website, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
