December Subject of the Month

posted Nov 30, 2014, 6:56 PM by Peter Smyth   [ updated Nov 30, 2014, 6:58 PM ]

The December subject of the month is series books. (Read a book that fits the descriptions of each subject every month and you are eligible for an end of the year prize).
A series book doesn't have to be a graphic novel by the way.  Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia are two examples.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ AN ENTIRE SERIES - just one of the books in it.

November subject

Now that November is over, the Subject of the month is History - either Fiction or Non-Fiction.  Don't worry, if you are interested, you can still read a book during December that qualifies.

This month the subject is New Books.  Read one library book (or more) from this category during October.  This will qualify you to be a possible winner of a library prize at the end of the school year.

Each month a subject will be posted here on the Library website.  You are encouraged to read a book fitting the subject of that month.  Students who read at least one book every month in the subject of that month will have their names entered for a drawing in June for a prize.

The subject for September is: NON-FICTION ANIMAL books.

See Mr. Smyth for more information or if you have questions.

Summer means getting outside, enjoying summer activities and reading those books you couldn't get to during the year.  Future posts will introduce you to books we'll have for the coming year, and maybe some you should find before then.
