Exotic Nuclear Structure From Nucleons
(ENSFN 2012)

October 10-12, 2012
Koshiba Hall, University of Tokyo
Hongo, Tokyo

An international symposium "Exotic Nuclear Structure From Nucleons (ENSFN 2012)" will be held from October 10th to 12th, 2012, at the Koshiba Hall, the University of Tokyo. The ENSFN 2012 Symposium is supported by RIKEN Nishina Center (RNC) and Center for Nuclear Study (CNS), University of Tokyo.

This symposium will be devoted to discussing recent achievement and perspectives in the structure of exotic nuclei from the viewpoint of the nuclear force. New experimental information on exotic nuclei and development of large-scale calculations are indispensable for this purpose.

The subjects to be covered in this symposium include
  1. Evolution of shell struct
ure and collectivity in exotic nuclei
  2. Ab-initio theory and its application to exotic nuclei
  3. Advancement in large-scale nuclear-structure calculations
  4. Effective Hamiltonian and energy density functional
  5. Spin-isospin responses
  6. New aspects of two- and three-body forces
  7. Impact on nuclear astrophysics
