 World Language Academy Overview

In 2016, the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District approved a World Language magnet program for North Mecklenburg High School.  The 2016-2017 school year is the inaugural year of the World Language Academy.  The World Language Academy at North Meck provides an environment that offers students an opportunity to gain a global perspective and an appreciation of the history, language, and culture of other nations.   The school also provides exposure to special magnet theme-related activities and encourages collaboration between our school and international communities.  Our World Language Academy offers study in Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Japanese, and Spanish.  Current enrollment in the Academy is 128 students.
