Research Details

1.  Currently working in problem of optimally placing the access points in an ultra-dense 5G network to cover a given rectangular region in the indoor region so that every point in the region will be covered by at least one access point (AP) with minimal sum of total transmission power used by all APs. Analyze the wastage of transmission power for different types of placement of the APs with touching and intersecting circles for the full coverage of the rectangular region. Proposed a systematic scheme to place the intersecting circles and show that for moderate size of the rectangle, the wastage due to the spill over of the circles at the boundary can be much higher that 20.77%, but when the side(s) of the rectangle is (are) very large compared to the radius r of the circles, the wastage asymptotically tends to around 20.86%. Concurrently, observe that use of a few circles of smaller radius r' = 0.62r would significantly reduce the wastage even for a rectangle of small size and that would not require any additional bandwidth compared to the scheme for using all circles of the same radius r.
2.  During January’19 to April’19, worked in energy efficient and secure wireless communication-based applications in IoT domain that typically requires very short sessions and provides very low cost and complexity implementation. Security over short duration transmission needs lightweight cryptographic (LWC) algorithm, which requires computational efficiency in terms of speed, and new key at every transaction, so that, an adversary would not have enough time to decipher the key. The LWC algorithm is implemented using Twitter data stream and keys are tested over Unpredictability, Non-repeatability and Randomness in NIST statistical test suite framework.
3.  During October’18 to January’19, worked on localization problems on wireless sensor networks in harsh, uncertain and noisy environment that directly deals with the quality of coverage of a geographical location using the sensors. This problem is analyzed using a multilayer perceptron with single (ANN1) and two (ANN2) hidden layers based supervised learning algorithm followed by feed forward, back propagation of errors.   
4.  During March’17 to April’17, worked on information security technique based on image & video steganography.
5.  During June'15 to Jan'16, worked in the area of Social Computing with specific problems on allocation of micro-tasks to work groups in a social computing networks optimizing accuracy in computation within a given time limit and budget constraints. This problem leads to designing an efficient algorithm for optimal allocation and also associated with many-to-many graph matching problem (polygamy and polyandrous graph matching).
