The purpose of learning mathematics lies in its ability to shape better students by fostering logical thinking, informed decision-making, and resilience, while also offering wide-ranging applications across fields and real-life scenarios.
For me, learning is the whole point of existence. I am a teacher because I want to be one, not because I fell into it. True, in my view, if it is my choice, it should aid me in growing my character, assist me make good choices, and so on. Have passion to learn Mathematics and its Applications. Strongly believes that 'Teaching' and 'Researching' are the two sides of the same 'Learning' COIN. I enjoy teaching more than doing research. Thus for me, research is a means to make myself fit for teaching. Regardless of the fact that I avoid using any particular method, I am drawn to Moore's method (https://www.maa.org/press/ebooks/the-moore-method ), albeit in a gentler way. Interacting with students provides a great deal, and they, of course, get a lot more than what they might have anticipated. Over time, I began to believe in Lebesgue's adage, "Think in Front of Students,". This does not imply that I have done nothing to prepare. Interaction with students, on the other hand, needs far more preparation than traditional 'one way' lectures.
Love Euclid's ELEMENTS, which are instrumental in the development of Logic and Modern Science. Taught a wide range of courses in Mathematics and its Applications in UG and PG programs for 29 years.
Keen on exploring the development of theories and applications in the domains of choice, decision-making, and optimization, leveraging the foundational principles and structures within algebra. There is a wide scope in the areas of Fuzzy sets, Rough sets and Soft sets to meet this.
