My work for this course, generally, has not been theoretical. Rather, it is situated in the specific concerns of adult learners in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, a nation with its own unique social, cultural, geographical, and technological contexts. My approaches here do not necessarily reflect how I would teach other groups of learners. A course is an interactive, scriptible text. Even what we as teachers initially give to students in order for them to create meaning must be shaped with a consideration of who the students are, as well as who we are. It is a not a compromise but a synthesis, a creation of something new.
