Assignment Calendar

8th Grade Science:

Below you will find the calendar for 8th grade science, outside help, assignments, and notes from all lessons we have completed. To look at the calendar, scroll until you see it. If you have issues seeing the calendar, I suggest changing web browsers. Firefox DOES NOT work well with this webpage. To find all files linked to this page for 8th grade, select the "Lessons and Notes" tab. At that point, you will need to select the unit we are currently working in to find up-to-date work, notes, and extra help webpages/videos. Assignments will be labeled by the date it was assigned (which is not the same date in PowerSchool. PowerSchool dates are done by the day the assignment was collected/graded.) Please have your student check their Google Classroom for my class for work that needs to be submitted electronically. Papers have a tendency to get lost so I typically assign work through Google Classroom. If the assignment was assigned in that manner, it needs to be submitted that way as well.

Late/Makeup Work:

Assignments that are turned in late will receive a 10 point deduction for each day late. Late work will not be accepted for that unit after the Unit Assessment has been given. (excluding prolonged absences)

Students will be given one week from the day assigned to submit late classwork and assessments. After the week has expired or the Unit Assessment has been given, whichever comes first, the grade will be a permanent zero. It is the student’s responsibility to makeup assessment grades and assignments. ANY missed assessments can be made up during advisory or study hall. If the student does not make up the assessment, the grade will be a 50% and a retake will not be offered.
