2015 Track Days

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS A BROAD OVERVIEW OF FUTURE EVENTS.
FOR EXACT DETAILS OF EACH EVENT, PLEASE SCRUTINISE THE RELEVANT RULES AND REGULATIONS PROVIDED BY THE ORGANISER OF EACH EVENT.
Following the great response we had last year from the Club’s track days, we have again been able to organise what we hope will be another great Street Sprint / Autotest Series.
These Series are in response to the ongoing need for Members to get out on the track and enjoy their vehicles in a controlled environment. To make sure Club Members have a variety of events, this year 2 Street Sprint Track Days will be held at Lakeside Raceway, 2 Autotest Days will be held at the Lakeside Driver Training Circuit and a Test and Try Hill Climb Day will be held at the MG Car Club’s Mt.Cotton Circuit .
Please note that the Street Sprint Series and the Autotest Series are NOT A RACE SERIES, if you are interested in racing your clubman or other special interest vehicle, there is a full race series being organised by Queensland Raceway at both Ipswich and Lakeside Circuits. If you are not keen on going flat out, please don’t be put off by these events, you are free to run around at your own pace and as everyone on track will be mostly club members, they will be keeping an eye out for you. At the end of the day this is designed to be a friendly club event.
ENTRY FORM AND OTHER RELATED FORMS:
The Westfield Car Club will notify Members and Guests where to obtain Entry Forms and other related Forms prior to each Event.
AT EACH EVENT ENTRIES ARE LIMITED SO PLEASE DON'T LEAVE YOUR ENTRY TO THE LAST DAY.
COMPETITION LICENCE FOR QUEENSLAND RACEWAY AND LAKESIDE CIRCUITS
QMSC Competition Licence (Form available from Queensland Raceways Website), please send QMSC Competition Licence Form and payment directly to Queensland Raceways. Annual Licence - Clubman Licence $55.00 (2014) Day Licence – Clubman Licence $20.00 (2014)
COMPETITION LICENCE FOR LEYBURN, OAKEY, PITTSWORTH AND GATTON SPRINTS
CAMS Licence – Level 2 Speed ( L 2 S ). Refer to CAMS Website for Forms and information.
A L2S licence entitles the holder to compete in L2NS events plus regularity trials up to National Championship level, single and multi-car speed events (not racing) up to International level, and touring road events that do not run over closed road sections. Annual Fee: $115.00 (2014)

For other Race Circuits please refer to their website for Forms, Rules and Regulations or related Forms sent out from the Club by Electronic Technology for Events other than the above venues.
ELIGIBILITY / ENTRY REQUIREMENTS-
Westfield Car Club Members will have first preference for entry acceptance. Each Track Event will be limited in numbers.
Vehicle can be of a clubman type sports car or other special interest vehicle that is approved by the Management Committee to participate in the event.
BASIC RULES FOR QLD RACEWAY AND LAKESIDE CIRCUITS FOR STREET SPRINTS.
Clubman styled (any make) with road tyres and can be registered or unregistered.
However, if your car is Registered with slick tyres, unregistered with slick tyres, unregistered or race car, you cannot receive points towards Qld. Raceways Street Sprint Series. Please read Qld Raceways Website for all Rules and Regulations relating to Street Sprints
The Street Sprints Format held at Lakeside Park Raceway is generally 3 x 4 Timed Lap sessions plus Passenger Laps if time available.
The time and place of the Drivers Briefing at each Event will be stated in the Club’s Email to you.
Lakeside Raceway is noise limited, all cars must comply with noise requirements. Refer to Queensland Raceways website for further information.
Timing Systems
Queensland Raceways (Lakeside and QR Circuits) have a new timing system in place. Please refer to their website for more details.
Timing devices can be purchased outright or can be hired on a daily basis.
ENTRY FEE:
The Westfield Car Club will contact all participants to inform them of how and where to make the Entry Fee payment for each Event.
Proposed Classes

VEHICLE AND APPAREL REQUIREMENTS VARY WITH ACTIVITY FOR SPRINTS/RACING
1. ABS & SRS systems may be disconnected at the driver’s option
2. Drivers must wear non-flammable clothing that fully covers the body from ankle to wrist to neck
3. If vehicle is road registered or road registerable must meet the roadworthy requirements of Qld Transport
4. If vehicle is not road registerable it must meet the applicable Racing Car standards below
5. Fire extinguishers, when fitted, must meet AS1841 standard and be secured to ensure they cannot injure the driver in the event of an accident.
6. Tyres must be fit for purpose, not recut or retreaded, and be fitted to rim widths that comply with the Tyre and Rim
Association manual and/or ADR requirements
7. Rear facing red lights for use during rain must be fitted.
8. Helmets must comply with, or exceed, the standards AS1698.
