  • Week of May 30-June 2 Good morning! Happy Memorial Day! I believe we can now start the official countdown to the last day of school- 9 school days left! Here’s what we have this week in the classroom: Math: Students will be finishing and turning in their end-of-the-year project called “Million Dollar Math”.   This project will be due May 31st.   Literature:   Tuesday, students will be reading the Greek myth “Arachne” in their textbooks and completing an accompanying assignment.  They will also have time to put the finishing touches on their group reader’s theater presentation. This week we finish our SBAC testing with the Math Summative Test and the Math Performance Task.  If your student has the opportunity to review their SBAC Math Review Packet today or to look at the SBAC practice test and practice performance task on http://sbac.portal.airast.org/practice-test/ it would really help them feel more confident going into this week’s tests.   • Week of May 15-19 Good morning! Happy Mother’s Day!!!! I hope all my moms & grandmas enjoy their gifts and have wonderful day! Welcome to SBAC testing week, part 1!  There will be NO Daily ELA or Daily Math this week, NO Reading Log and NO Literature Block HW this week.
