Notes to Parents and Students:  Week of 6/2/25

We made it to the last week of school!  This week will be full of assemblies and parties.  Our 4th Quarter Academic Awards Assembly is Monday at 9:00 AM.  The teachers will play the kids in basketball at 11:00 AM.  Our yearbook dedication is Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM.  Students who ordered yearbooks will receive them immediately after the dedication.  The 6th grade yearbook signing party will happen from 9:30 to 10:30.  There will be a 6th grade picnic from 10:30 to 1:00 where kids will get to play games and hang out.  Wednesday will be a pretty normal day.  It's an early release day, so kids will get out at 1:05 PM.  There is a talent show dress rehearsal after school.  Our End-og-the-Year Assembly is Thursday morning at 8:00 AM.  We go to Blackbeard's after the assembly.  We'll be back at the end of the school day.  Friday is the last day of school, and it's an early release day.  Our talent show is at 9:30 AM.  That's about it!  Read on for details.

It's the last week of school at Cedarwood for all the 6th graders.  It's also the last week of Cedarwood for me since I'm retiring.  I hope your Cedarwood experience has been productive and rewarding.  I feel blessed to have worked at Cedarwood for the last 29 years.  I'm not going to miss grading papers, writing newsletters every Sunday night, and planning.  But, I will miss working with the kids, coaching, and interacting with the staff and community.  I'm looking forward to playing a lot of golf, traveling, working on my two acres, and helping out with the golf program at Clovis High!
