Learning Programmes 2017

This year our junior programmes will revolve each term around a theme. We have detective stories, time travel and memoir, to name a few new areas.
Each term junior students will have 2 CATS (common assessment tasks) that are linked into the New Zealand Curriculum.

The NCEA courses at Years 11-13 have now been developed to accommodate individual learning needs. This means that if you did not fully succeed in your Level 1 course, for example, you can continue to work with your peers at Level 2, and be assessed at the level that gives you the greatest success.

Core standards make up the programme at each level, including at least two external exams in November. Other standards may be available upon application and Head of Department approval.

You should aim to gain quality results, rather than focus solely on the quantity of credits. This way you are more likely to gain course and subject endorsement with Merit or Excellence.

Use the menu above to find details for your course, and links to NZQA, where relevant.

And don't forget to keep a regular eye on the homework requirement tab above, and the word limits for writing tasks. These are guidelines only.
