Dock - shortcut bar

System sound settings
click apple in the upper left and select ‘System Preferences'
click on the ‘sound’ icon
There are 2 settings that need to be set before recording:
output: where the sound will be sent
input: where the recorded sound will come from
Reminders
Mouse plugs into keyboard
log off when you are done with class
M-Audio Keyboards
USB connects to the computer
input different instrument sounds (midi)
power switch is on the back left
Volume Fader (works in GarageBand)
Pitch Bend raises or lowers the pitch temporarily
Modulation raises or lowers the pitch until changed again
Mixing Boards
Inputs:
(4) XLR inputs
1/4 in mono inputs
RCA inputs (red / white)
Gain:
Sets the sensitivity of the mic or input
EQ:
Sets the levels for high to low sounds
Pan:
Sets the levels for left and right channels
Level:
Sets the output level
Phantom Power:
Sends power to the microphones, if needed
