What is PBIS? Acting in the "Trucker Way"

What does it mean?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Support.  It is built on the idea that we can effectively teach appropriate behaviors to all students using positive language and interventions.

What behaviors are being taught?

The core expectations of PBIS are:  BE Respectful, BE Responsible, BE Safe at Rexford/Longfellow Elementary School and Middle School and Ethics, Excellence, and Effort at the High School.  Each of the our schools has set of rules that falls under those categories.
