Teaching RESPECTFUL Behavior

During play, sports, and ‘life’ in general, students often get caught up in the emotion of the moment and can turn into ‘jerks’. (This even happens with adults from time to time!) Students can be self-absorbed, competitive, or simply not think about the feelings of others around them! As PE teachers, we sometimes witness students yelling at opponents and/or teammates because of their desire to win or be correct.

 

It is always one of our primary goals to help teach students how to interact positively with one another. Yes...Respectful behavior isn't always intrinsic...it often needs to be taught...and modeled!
