The Joel School Healthy & Balanced Living program strives to instill fitness principles and skills into each students' daily experience.

A major focus in the fall is teaching students to pace themselves while performing various aerobic exercises. Third grades students complete a practice pacer test where they challenge themselves to complete numerous laps (45 foot distance) in a ten minute period. The attachment below details the percentage of students successfully achieving the 'fitness bead' level.
