Ms. Jarett's Preschool Class

Welcome to Jump Start! I am excited to have a wonderful year with your children. We will work on a variety of skills through play-based learning throughout the school year, including cognitive, social-emotional, gross motor, and fine motor skills. The children will also learn many self-help skills, such as putting on jackets. I am looking forward to helping your children progress in all of these areas and appreciate any input you may have.

Announcements:

There will be a 12:15 pm dismissal on Thursday, May 9. Please plan accordingly!

Please remember to send weather-appropriate outerwear (including footwear such as rain boots) with your child each day. We spend lots of time outside, even when it's raining or snowy! When there is snow on the ground, your child will need snowpants, snow boots, and waterproof mittens or gloves. Please label all outerwear with your child's name or initials!

Please remember to send healthy snacks and drinks to school with your child each day. Candy should not be sent to school; please keep candy at home for special treats. Please send any needed utensils (e.g. spoons for applesauce or yogurt cups) in your child's lunchbox.

All tuition payments should be sent to the Special Services office through the US mail.

General Reminders:

Please be sure to bring your child to school on time every day.

Please be sure to send appropriate outerwear each day. Outdoor play is an important part of the preschool curriculum and we do go out in all kinds of weather!

Please remember that your child needs sneakers (or boots in the event of snowy, rainy, or muddy conditions) every day for outdoor play.

Please remember to send in fresh bedding for your child at the beginning of each week.

Please make sure to pack healthy snacks and lunches for your child. Candy is not allowed.
