Substitute Teachers and Instructional Assistants Needed
At minimum, an on-call substitute teacher must
have a 4-year college degree.
An on-call substitute instructional assistant must have a minimum
of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Please email Sandra Murphy or call (860) 664-6500 to request a per-diem, on-call/as needed substitute application packet. Please provide your name and mailing address. In addition to completing personnel and payroll forms, you must have fingerprints taken for a background check and have a TB (PPD) test performed. All instructions are included in the packet. The current rate of pay for a substitute teacher is $75/day and a substitute instructional assistant earns $12.00/hour.
Once the application is finalized, personally appear at Central Office with your completed packet. Once submitted, we will make an appointment for a future informational meeting (10-15 minutes). We ask for all materials ahead of time, because immediately following the informational meeting, you will be placed on the substitute call list and will be available for assignments.
