Cleveland Early College High School (CECHS) provides a challenging, student-centered curriculum designed to ensure that students are prepared for college and work. Located on the campus of Cleveland Community College, the school opened with 50 students on August 11, 2008, and ultimately will enroll 250 students. All students will earn a high school diploma as well as an associate's degree in five years.

CECHS teachers use active, research-based instructional strategies and deliver academic curriculum that fosters the educational, personal and social development of our students. Our curriculum is designed to prepare students for the technological challenges of the future and to teach them to interact positively with diverse individuals.

Our small school environment allows faculty to cultivate positive, supportive relationships with students. Students regularly participate in project-based and cooperative learning exercises and work-based experiences that encourage them to be independent learners. CECHS is characterized by mutual respect among students and faculty and an enthusiasm for achievement and rigorous teaching and learning.
