Medical care made easy
Shelby Children's Clinic
Atrium Health’s Shelby Children’s Clinic pediatricians partnered with Cleveland County Public Health Center and Cleveland County Schools to develop a virtual clinic for students within Graham Elementary School for the 2017-2018 academic year. The virtual clinic improves access to pediatricians who diagnose and develop a treatment plan while the students remain at school. This model has reduced both dismissal from school by nurse due to illness and inappropriate use of the local emergency room.
This clinic is now FREE and AVAILABLE to our SIS students! Please take advantage of this service. If you did not fill out a release form, please request one from your child's teacher or see Mrs.Lawrence in the front office!

SIS MEETS GROWTH FOR THE 2018-2019 school year
We've had a lot to celebrate as NCDPI released data showed that the SIS Panthers MET GROWTH last year! This is so awesome, as we believe how much you grow shows what you know! We are so proud of our staff and students for all their hard work! Way to go from good to greatER!
You Are the First Teacher
Take the lead at home by teaching and modeling principles of effectiveness for all family members.
Over the span of 180 days, a student only spends 11 percent of the time at school (about 943 hours). The majority of his or her time—almost 50 percent—is dedicated to family life at home and other important communities outside of school). You are your child’s first and most influential teacher by laying the foundation for the education of their mind, heart, body, and spirit. No matter what is going on at school you can help your child discover the leader within themselves and prepare for a future of contribution and service. Even if you have a school that already supports the principles laid out in Leader in Me, your job is no less important.
Instructional Hours —US schools average 943 hours of instructional time in 180 days.Recommended sleep for school age children is at least 10 hours a night.
