The Student Services staff at CMS is interested in the total educational and emotional development of each student. The purpose of the CMS school counseling program is to help each student achieve his/her highest growth in academic, career, and social/emotional goals throughout the year. Some of the areas for which we provide individual and group counseling, as well as classroom guidance, include: Character Education, Conflict Resolution, Academic Success, College & Career, Separation/Divorce, Decision Making, Grief, Clothing Room
Students may be referred for counseling/social work services by parents, teachers/staff, or by students (self). Most student counseling is conducted during the student's elective classes when possible. Counselors are available to assist with parent-team conferences as needed. Please feel free to contact your child's grade-level counselor for consultations, referrals, or other requests for services.
