CMS Beta Club Takes Conference!

The Beta Club represented Crest Middle in superb fashion this week at this year's Beta Conference."I have been totally amazed with this year's state Beta Convention trip with our CMS students, parents, and sponsors," said Angie Gates, 6th grade teacher and Beta Club sponsor.

"Our kids were well behaved, as we were among 5,000 people that attended this year's conference. Much more crowded than the last 2 years," said Gates.

CMS students were very competitive among the large crowd.

- Noah Stilwell ranked 2nd in the state in math WITHOUT A CALCULATOR!!!!!!!!

- Alexys Wynnberry received 2nd place in state for her painting

- Our scrapbook group won 3rd in state - GO MARLOWE!!!

- Our Book Battle received 13th in state - thanks Mrs. Pauley and Dr. Pace!

- Our Spotlight Your Club made top 15

- We won the 10% Growth Award again this year.

"Our parents were wonderful! They would have jobs taken care of before I could ask, were more than willing to escort kids to various competitions, and hold seats for our growing convention group," said Gates.

"Thanks to our awesome sponsors - Valerie Hipp and Amy Marlowe! You ladies are invaluable!!! Mrs. Marlowe did a great job driving our bus and did a fabulous job with our scrapbook too. Mrs. Hipp always keeps us grounded and reminds us of the practical way of doing things," said Gates.
