Where we've been......
~practiced counting to 20
~learned to identify all of the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make.
~learned the sight words I, a, my, go, to, the, like, he, here, come, this, me
~identified shapes and colors
~practiced writing our names
~learned how to write numbers 1-10
~learned left and right
~learned about various winter holidays
Where we're going....
~putting letters/sounds together to form words
~learning about bears, hibernation, penguins, and Black History
~learning about syllables in words (counting syllables in words)
~learning about rhyming words (identifying rhymes and producing rhymes)
~learning our addresses, birthdays, and phone numbers
~learning to add and subtract

Handwriting (numbers and letters)
Counting from 1 to 100
Skip counting by 2's, 5's and 10's
Recognizing sight words
Patterning
Rhyming
Sound Matching (cat starts like can; baby starts like bear) spelling-spelling with the sounds we hear
Inventive spelling (trtl for turtle; prsnt for present)
Cutting on lines
Reading storybooks daily for enjoyment and to answer who,what, where, why
questions
